Lets get one thing straight about Teddy Bear Museum Pattaya. If you are going there expecting to see some form of documented history of Teddy Bears throughout the ages, in a true museum style, then you may will be disappointed. Merriam-Webster defines museum as “a building in which interesting and valuable things (such as paintings and sculptures or scientific or historical objects) are collected and shown to the public” Even leaving the “scientific or historical” out of it and just using “interesting and valuable” you would still really be stretching it to call this a museum. Also the claim on their web site that “Teddy Bear Museum Pattaya is the first and only museum in Southeast Asia.” stretches it beyond the limits.
What Is The Teddy Bear Museum Pattaya
Now having got the above cleared up, lets talk about what it is. It is basically an indoor children’s theme park based on Teddy Bears and children’s cartoon characters.
Teddy Bear Museum is designed for the younger person or families with young children. Older people or anyone with mobility issues should take care as some of the walking surfaces are rather steeply sloped and there are plenty of places for the elderly to trip or slip. Now having also got that out of the way, I would say that most youngsters would definitely give it the thumbs up as there are lots of things to entertain and amuse the younger mind. It is air conditioned so for the young family it can be a great opportunity to take a break from the tropical heat and let the kids loose in a relatively safe environment.
I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
